The uneducated buyer is a dying breed. With the internet at most people’s fingertips, five minutes of research can tell them everything they need to know about a brand, including the general reviews, product quality, and whether it’s grossly overpriced. Putting words and phrases like ‘amazing’, ‘must have’, and ‘one of a kind’ into a pitch can help, but mostly if they’re true, and certainly not if the rest of the pitch gives none of the most important information to the reader.
Don’t treat your buyers as if they’re ignorant, because they’re not. Explain your product and what it can do, stick to facts, and don’t bombard persons with useless words and meaningless platitudes. People aren’t looking for a cheesy pitch that sounds like it was meant for a child, they’re looking to be educated on your product, and to feel confident in making the choice to do business with you.
