In this episode: We Fire customers!
It’s Time to Move On.
In any business, the customer is key. Asking a business to turn away a customer is asking them to turn away revenue, and revenue is always the bottom line. But is there a point where you willingly let a customer go?
Finding a customer that is a bad fit for your business may be worse than having no customer at all, because depending on the type of business you have, that customer might end up costing you a significant amount of potential revenue.
Let’s say for instance you run a design business, and you have four steady customers.
All four pay the same amount of money for the same amount of work, but there is one particular customer who is disagreeable, always needs more of your time, and is a constant source of stress.
In fact, if you got rid of that one customer, you might have the time to take on two or three others.
The customer is key, but may not open the door to an experience that is best for you.
If you are like me, I am more for a business that’s profitable and enjoyable. So stop letting your family down in order to please people that will never buy from you anyway.
