You can have the most beautifully-designed website, the best product and the highest converting sales funnel. But if you don’t have a constant flow of traffic and leads to your site, then you’ll not last long.
To be successful online, you’ve to focus on generating traffic to your website.
Because let’s be honest, even if you have a crappy product and a poorly designed website that looks like it was built in the 90’s, but yet you’ve traffic coming to your site… Believe it or not, some visitors may end up buying from you.
It all comes down to… TRAFFIC!
But not all traffic is equal. Most Internet marketers and entrepreneurs focus on the wrong traffic sources that don’t convert.
Because there’s one problem…
A lot of people online don’t buy anything, their just surfing around wasting time scrolling on Facebook and watching cat videos on YouTube. They want everything to be free.
We’ve got an official term for them in the digital marketing community we call them ”freebie-seekers”. They’re atrocious to your business. Avoid them like the plague.
… And focus on the traffic sources that are proven to convert.
In this post, I’ll share with you a list of the three highest converting traffic sources that have the most laser-targeted visitors who are in a ”ready-to-buy” mindset.
So here we go.
1. Email list traffic
This is without a doubt, the highest converting traffic channel on the Internet.
Nothing beats a highly responsive email list.
If you aren’t building your list, you are missing out on the future of your business. – Vicki Fitch.
Building an email list should be the top priority for anyone who is planning to generate more sales and grow his online business.
Why?
Because you own the customer, you can promote to them whenever you want. You can communicate with them anytime you want. You’ve full control over everything.
As far as I know, no other channel gives you this amount of control and power.
Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, YouTube channels, etc. You don’t own them, they can ban you and delete everything that you’ve created if they wanted to. It’s their platform, not yours.
An Email list is a digital asset that you own, it’s yours, you’ve full control over it. Don’t like your current email provider? No problem, almost every other email marketing provider will gladly welcome you (and your list) with open arms.
No other channel on the internet can beat the efficiency and reliability of the good-old email marketing.
Everything else fails in comparison.
2. Affiliate traffic
What is affiliate traffic?
In a nutshell, it’s the web traffic that affiliates send to your site. And it’s a highly targeted traffic that is ready to buy what you’ve to offer. Why? because affiliates have already done the ”pre-selling” for you.
Product owners and e-commerce websites usually have an ”affiliate program” designed to recruit affiliates in order to promote their products and services in exchange for a sales commission.
Affiliate traffic is one of the highest converting traffic online. But it’s not available for everyone, It’s a next level thing. It’s only available for product owners, e-commerce stores, and other companies.
There are two types of affiliate programs:
An in-house (self-hosted) affiliate program and an affiliate program that is hosted with a 3rd-party company.
Most choose the latter because it’s hassle-free, and easier to set-up. The 3rd-party company (e.g. CJ, Clickbank) takes care of everything from processing orders and customer support to delivering the product and paying commission to affiliates.
When you sign-up with a 3rd party company to run your affiliate program with them, sometimes you can set the rules of what type of traffic you accept, and what type of traffic you don’t.
And if you have a high-quality product that converts, then you’ll have more affiliates that will promote your product for you, and you’ll see a huge increase in traffic volume.
3. Search engine traffic (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc)
One of the best traffic sources online is search engine traffic, especially Google.
Why?
Because traffic coming from Google is highly targeted.
When someone is having a problem about something, they usually go to Google (or other search engines) to look for a solution to their problem, and if your site shows up and provides them with the best solution to their problem, they’ll love you forever.
… And they’ll be most likely to take the action you want them to take.
Therefore, you should write content that is interesting, relevant, and most importantly: solves the problem your readers have.
Conclusion
Web traffic coming from email lists, affiliates, and search engines are the most highly converting traffic sources available on the internet.
The above traffic sources need to be an essential part of any serious online business owner’s traffic generation strategy.
